Maxwell Dillon, better known as Electro, is a Marvel Comics supervillain primarily associated with Spider-Man. He was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, debuting in The Amazing Spider-Man #9 (1964).
Dillon was an electrical lineman who gained his powers after being struck by lightning while repairing a power line that was in contact with an alien microbe. This accident transformed him into a living capacitor, capable of generating and controlling vast amounts of electricity.
As Electro, Dillon possesses the ability to absorb electricity from any source, manipulate electrical devices, and project powerful lightning bolts. He can also travel through electrical conductors. His powers have fluctuated over the years, and he has occasionally demonstrated the ability to transform his body into pure electricity.
Throughout his history, Electro has been a member of numerous villainous teams, including the Sinister Six. He is often portrayed as motivated by a desire for power and recognition, frequently clashing with Spider-Man and other heroes.
